10:35 PM
My previous post was about creating your own blogger templates. I hope that helped you a lot in a way but obviously you need a software to edit that .xml templates even if you are offline. So I decided to post about some html editors, best yet free. There are so many out there but why not take a look below, I hope it will save your time and money.
Blogger templates have .xml file type and blogger has built in template editor. If you want to use external source of your java scripts and css files then you need an offline html or xml editor. Xml files are so portable and handy; even you can open it by using a simple notepad. But simple windows notepad doesn’t have advanced options. You cannot collapse codes; you cannot distinguish css and java script files. Let’s take a look at these free editors for Windows.

CodeLobster

I will rank it at the top of my list, because it has so many awesome features in free version. You can buy the premium version of this application but if you don’t want, you can stick with the free version.
Using the Codelobster you don't have to keep in mind names of tags and their attributes; methods etc. it has implemented all these in the autocomplete feature for XML, PHP, HTML, JavaScript and even CSS. They have help topics as well; you can get help anytime by pressing F1. You can Preview you edited files in preview tab.

CofeeCup

Here comes another powerful and handy web design tools. It has so many built-in tools that help us to add backgrounds, design tables, style text, insert images, and more. The HTML Editor is the best choice for anyone who wants to be in control of their websites. It has also a real-time preview option that updates HTML5 and CSS3 as you code. This feature will helps you to code your site in a best way.
This Free HTML Editor is a trimmed-down version of the CoffeeCup HTML Editor. It has the full amazing features, but various cool functions like CSS Menu Designer, Website Color Schemer, and FTP Upload are only in Paid Version.

Notepad++

Notepad++ is another amazing free application. It’s coded in C++ that uses clean Win32 API and gives you superior performance in smaller program size. If you take a look at the screen shot of this application you will know about awesome features.

Conclusion

If you are a blogger, you should know about HTML, HTML5, CSS and CSS3. If you don’t know about it then start learning today, you can visit w3schools.comand gives it a try.
